Make Your Own Background – Pattern Stamping

Hi fellow crafters! Thank you for stopping by for this post. I wanted to make a patterned background so I started off with a A2 sized Neenah Solar White 80 lb cardstock panel and stamped the roses, which are from Best Mom Ever stamp set from Simon Says Stamp, using Intense Black dye ink from Simon Says Stamp (abbrev. SSS which I will use henceforth!) I colored the images using my copic markers.

For the heart, I die cut some gold mirror cardstock using Lacy Hearts stackables dies from Lawn Cuts and some pale violet patterned paper using Outside in Stitched Hearts  dies again from Lawn Cuts. I adhered the patterned paper heart on top of the gold mirror cardstock using foam tap. I cut a strip of vellum and placed it along the hearts and stuck it behind the gold mirror cardstock die cut. I die cut the word Miss You using white cardstock 4 times and stacked it together and placed it on top of vellum shadow die cut.

For the layering, I die cut the panel using an edged die from Concord and 9th and inserted another die cut, cut from plain white card stock.

I added some twine and sequins for interest and finished the card off by mounting it on top of some olive green cardstock and sticking it together on side folding A2 sized card base.

That’s all for this card.

Have a great day!
