You Make Everyday Awesome – Pencil Coloring on Dark Colored Cardstock

Hello friends! Thank you so much for stopping by to read this post. I have been wanting to try out my Prismacolor Pencils and I thought the Ornate Background stamp will look great when colored in. So, I stamped the image on a piece of black cardstock using Versamark Watermark Ink pad and clear heat embossed it. Using my Prismacolor Pencils, I colored the details in. I mainly used three shades, Aqua, Navy and Yellow. Once done, I trimmed the panel to be slightly smaller than A2 size.

I stamped the sentiment on Sea Glass cardstock using Versamark Watermark ink and heat embossed in Cornflower Blue Embossing Powder. I die cut it using Hero Arts Tag Frames Infinity Dies. I added some twine behind it across the colored panel and foam mounted everything on an A2 sized top folding card base made from the same cardstock.

I embellished it with some Banana Split, Blue Crush and Pale Gold Nuvo Drops.

That finished off my card. I love how opaque Prismacolored pencils are. They look bright and beautiful against dark colored cardstock.

I wish you a very lovely day!
