Happy Heart Day

Hello friends! Thank you so much for stopping by to read this blog post. I made this card for valentine’s day. To make this card I used Neenah Solar White 80 lb for the front panel and Bristol smooth for ink blending on the hearts inside. The card measures 8 inches by 4 inches. The front panel is 7.75 inches by 3.75 inches.

I made a vertical line in the centre of the panel so that I know where to place the first cut. I took one of the hearts from the nesting hearts die set from Hero Arts and place the along the line and using my die cutting machine cut the heart out. I continued it with the other four hearts cutting them slightly tilted just so that there is some sort of rhythm.

Next I temporarily placed the panel on the card with the Bristol smooth panel under it and outlined the hearts so that I know where to ink blend exactly. I used an acetate and cut the same heart out and used it as a stencil. I ink blended all the hearts using different color die inks from Simon Says Stamp going from shades of purple to pink. You can use whichever ink you prefer. I love the SSS dye inks 😍!

I colored the little boy agenda and little girl agenda from Mama Elephant using copic markers and adhered them on the Bristol ink blended panel.

I inked some hearts and flowers that were on other stamp sets to create a simple background for the front panel. I didn’t want to lose the white so I kept it to bare minimum. The Happy Valentine’s Day sentiment is from Love From Above set from Mama Elephant.

That’s all for this card. I hope you had fun reading it. Thank you so much for stopping by once again. I hope you have a great great day ahead of you.
