Layering with quilted Background

Hi Friends! Hope you are having a great day! I made this card for Mother’s Day this year. I used the Bold Flowers Stamp Set from Simon Say Stamping, stamping it onto a piece of Neenah Solar White Classic Crest 80 lb cardstock using Dye inks from Simon Says Stamp. I used Hollyhock, Teeny Bikini, Twirling Tutu, Sunshine, Audrey Blue , Green Apple and Green leaf. After stamping, I used the coordinating dies to cut the flowers out.

Next, I took a piece of Navy Cardstock and cut it using the Stitched Rectangles Stax from MFT Stamps. I did the scoring using my scoring board to give it a quilted appearance.

I die cut the word MOM out of Quinn’s ABC Lawn Cuts using some pink cardstock, and then again with some glitter cardstock and fun foam. I layered them together shifting the topmost layer slightly to the right to give it a shadow effect.

I adhered the navy panel onto an A2 sized top folding card made from Neenah Desert Storm 100 lb cardstock and stuck the flowers on the navy panel and cut the flowers that were sticking out using my Tonic Spring loaded scissors.

After that, I stuck the word MOM on top using foam tape pieces. I added the sentiment Happy Birthday, which was heat embossed using Gold Embossing Powder onto a piece of white cardstock using Versamark Watermark Ink pad.

I used some gold and navy sequins to complete the card.

That’s all for this card. I hope you liked it.
