Thank you so much once again for taking the time out to read this post! What is your go to when you see florals? I used to copic color them but I think pencil coloring them using Faber Castell Polychromos or watercoloring them using Daniel Smith Watercolors is the best approach I have come across recently! When this Even More Spring Flowers stamp set from Simon Says Stamp was released, I was very excited because I love flowers and these Hellebores are simply gorgeous.
To start, I stamped out the images on some Neenah Desert Storm 100 lb cardstock using Versamark Watermark Ink pad and colored them using my polychromos. While coloring, I kept the pressure light to produce more vein like affect on the flowers and leaves. You can build as much pressure as you like but it causes more burnishing and chalkiness to the colored images. Then I cut the images using the coordinating die cuts.
For the background, I stamped the Love Is background stamp onto some bristol smooth cardstock using Versamark Watermark ink pad and heat embossed using the Ultra Fine Gold Embossing powder. I then ink blended with Antique Linen Distress Ink to give it some vintage look. I deckled the panel using the Spellbinders deckled rectangles die and placed it on some Neenah Desert Storm 100 lb panel cut using stitched rectangles die from Simon Says Stamp.
I placed everything on top of an A2 sized top folding white cardstock and embellished with some 6 mm and 4 mm and 2 mm gold sequins.
That is all for this card. Hope you like it!
Have a great day!
