Hello Friends! Hope everyone is having a great day!
Please join me in this week’s challenge at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge .
For The Boys
I used the Tim Holtz distress inks for ink blending. Once I was happy with the blending I splattered some water for the distress effect and also some white gouache for some starry effect.
For the front Panel, I die cut the frame using the Stitched Rectangles Stax and also cut the same frame seven times from plain cardstock. I aligned and stuck all of them together with the top frame attached to a clear acetate window to close the shaker. I colored and die cut all the stamps using copics.
I added two nylon strings loosely and attached one astronaut and one space ship to it so that they could appear as if they were floating when shaken. I sealed the shaker panel.
For the inner panel, I stuck the second galaxy I made and placed the sun and the rest of the planets on it. For the astronauts and spaceship to land on something I made a planet surface ink blended onto a Bristol Smooth cardstock and craters added for details.
I added the two astronauts and the spaceship onto the floating floor panel and also added the sentiment, It’s a Special Day from the same stamp set. Then, I added a twine leading from the spaceship to the astronaut who appears to be floating in the galaxy.
That is all for this card. I hope you like the card I made and will join me in this week’s challenge.
