Watercolored Star Galaxy – You’re A Star – Keep Shining Bright

Hi friends! Thank you so much for stopping by this blog post. I have been wanting to watercolor a galaxy for the longest time. I tried doing two while I was at it. I started by a panel of watercolored paper and traced the outline of Puffy Star Stackables cutting die and using my Mijello Mission Gold watercolors colored the galaxy in.

I added splatters of white gouache to give it the ultimate starry effect. I die cut You’re A Star using white cardstock and the sentiment is from Seeing Stars stamp set, stamped on pink cardstock and white heat embossed.

For the background, I stamped the constellations on a 4 inch by 4 inch white cardstock panel using Barely Beige dye ink. I layered it with a slightly bigger pink panel on which I drew the white stitched lines using a White gel pen

I foam mounted all the element on a top folding 4.5 inch by 4.5 inch white card base. That finished off the first card. I did the exact same with the second card using just different colors.

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Have a wonderful day!
