Cross Stitch Patterns with Patterned Paper Frames

Hello friends! Hope everyone is having a great start to the day.

Thank you so much for taking the time out to stop by and read this post. Stitching is in my genes. My mom used to stitch so much when I was a kid that I have grown up with tons of embroidery floss and stitching mats lying all over the house. She taught me the basics but it is only now that I made my first piece.

I wanted to make a frame using the Doodlebug Designs Patterned Paper so I started with the Altenew Cross Stitch Canvas die and die cut a piece. Then I did the stitching using my stash of embroidery floss. You can stitch whatever design you like. There is tons of inspiration on Pinterest.

Then I cut a frame using the green Gingham print paper from the Doodlebug So Punny 12×12 inch So Petite Cardstock using the Large Framed die from Mama Elephant Framed Tags Lafayette die set and the background panel was cut to 4.75 inches by 6.5 inches using the Doodlebug Designs Pastel Assortment paper pack (currently not available but there is a huge variety of other paper from Doodlebug Designs to choose from!)

The sentiment is from the Thoughtful Messages stamp set from Simon Says Stamp Cherished release. I cut a strip of vellum and heat embossed the sentiment using Versamark Watermark Ink pad and Ultrafine Gold Embossing Powder from Simon Says Stamp. I placed everything onto a 4.75 inch by 6.5 inch top folding card made from Neenah Solar White 110 lb cardstock.

I finished the card with some matching sequins.

That is all for this card. I hope you liked the card I made. Thank you so much for taking the time out to read this post.

Have a great day!
