Bold Typography – with patterned background and alphabet stamps

Hi friends! Happy weekend! I wanted to give my old stash a workout with some ideas new to me so I thought of using bold alphabets for some nice encouraging messages after all we all need cards like these to brighten up a bad day.

I made a couple of cards. For the first card, I used the Sketched Alphabets stamp set and Sending Flowers stamp set from Simon Says Stamp. I started by taking a Neenah Solar White Classic Crest 80 lb cardstock panel of size 4.24 by 5.5 inches and stamped a flower from the Sending flowers stamp set using light to dark dye inks in the shades of blue and yellow. Next, I die cut the panel using Wonky Rectangles die from Simon Says Stamp and placed the alphabets on the panel and stamped them using my stamp positioner and Simon Says Stamp Black dye ink.

I also used the word ‘Amazing’ from the Big Greetings stamp set and the sentiment (stamped on black cardstock using Versamark watermark ink pad and heat embossed using White Embossing Powder from Simon Says Stamp) is from You Got This Stamp Set from Simon Says Stamp.

I used some white twine and made a bow towards the lower part of the panel. I added some sequins for interest and attached the entire panel onto a top folding A2 sized card made from Neenah Desert Storm 100 lb cardstock.

For the next card, I used the Grid Play Alphabets stamp set and Make Your Mark stamp set from Simon Says Stamp. I made the background using varying shades of pink dye inks from Simon Says Stamp stamped on an A2 sized panel cut from Neenah Solar White Classic Crest 80 lb cardstock and then using the Wonky Rectangles die cut the panel. Using my stamp positioner, I stamp the words YOU CAN DO IT using Versamark Watermark Ink pad onto the panel and heat embossed using Glitter Gold Metallic Embossing Powder from WOW.

I added some natural burlap twine in the middle of the panel and adhered the panel onto a top folding A2 sized card made from Neenah Desert storm 100 lb cardstock.

I added some color coordinating sequins from Simon Says Stamp to complete the card.

That’s all for these two cards. I hope you like the cards I made!

Thank you so much.

Cheers
