Layering with Masking – Floral Fuchsias – Pretty Pink Posh

Hi friends! I hope you are having a great day! I am sharing a card today in which I tried to layering while leaving major portion of the flowers as a one layer card.

I love floral stamps. They are soul satisfying for me. So, this beautiful stamp set Flourishing Fuchsias from Pretty Pink Posh is no different. I started by stamping the flowers using Antique linen distress ink onto some cold pressed watercolor paper while masking the leaves and flowers as I placed and stamped them. That helped me create the idea of depth.

On an additional piece of watercolor paper I stamped the remaining flowers and leaves. I watercolored the images using my Daniel Smith watercolors and Mijello Mission Gold watercolors.

After the coloring was complete, I cut the panel to 4.25 inches by 6.5 inches (this card is a bit bigger as I wanted lots of flowers on it!). Then I die cut the images and placed them on the panel using some foam tape.

I cut some fog cardstock to 4.5 inches by 6.75 inches and placed it on side folding cardbase of the same size. Using an additional piece of the same fog cardstock I stamped the sentiment from the Love Sentiments Stamp set from Pretty Pink Posh using Versafine Onyx Black ink and heat embossing using Clear Embossing Powder.

I finished the card with some iridescent jewels. That’s all for this card. I hope you liked it! Have a great day.
