Good day everyone! This called was labour of love but totally worth it because I made it for my dad on the occasion of Father’s Day.
To start of, I took a white cardstock panel that was sized 4.25 inches by 5.5 inches. I used the Stacked Edges 2 die from Pretty Pink Posh and I cut out strips of colored cardstock. I used Green Apple, Soft Navy, Audrey Blue and Sea Glass cardstock. After that I carefully trimmed down all the strips into individual pieces and placed them on the panel carefully using my liquid glue adhesive. Using my white gel pen I drew the stitched lines.
For the front panel, I die cut a panel from a piece of Neenah Solar White Classic Crest 80 lb cardstock using Spellbinders Labels Eight Die set. I stamped the leaves and acorn from the Simon Says Stamp Nutty Over You stamp set which is a discontinued set but you can use any solid stamped leaved and flowers or acorns. You just need it to embellish the frame, if you get what I mean. I cut the stamped images out using my Tonic Spring Loaded scissors.
From the Mom and Dad Icons set, I stamped out the word DAD onto a copic friendly cardstock and used my copic markers to color it in. I stamped the sentiment, which is from the same stamp set onto a piece of Green Apple cardstock and cut it out as a tag and scored it to give it some dimension.
I placed the entire panel on an A2 sized top folding card base.
That’s all for this card. I hope you like it! Have a great day.
