Hello Friends! Hope everyone is having a great day!
Please join me in this week’s challenge at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge .
Anything Goes
We are showcasing Wplus9 products this week. You don’t have to use them to join in but if you have some we would love to see them used.
As always, Simon Says Stamp will be giving away a $50 gift Vouches for the Simon Says Stamp Store to one randomly selected winner!
Wplus9 has some of the prettiest floral bouquets so it was perfect time to get some watercoloring in. Let me start with the Hibiscus Bouquet and the no line coloring card. For this card, I stamped the bouquet and toucan, which is from the Simon Says Stamp Encouraging Animals set onto some 300 gm cold pressed watercolor paper and did some no line coloring using my Mijello Mission Gold and Daniel Smith Watercolors. I made a background panel using the same watercolored paper and fussy cut the flowers and the bird and did some dimensional layering on the panel.
I made a card base sized 3.5 inches by 6.5 inches using fog cardstock from Simon Says Stamp, so that I can fit the panel on top of it. I added some clear and iridescent sequins and a twine at the bottom.
The sentiment is from the Birthday Wishes stamp set, stamped onto some black cardstock using Versamark Watermark Ink Pad and heat embossed using White Embossing Powder.
The second card is very loose watercoloring, because somehow I thought I kept messing up my petunias so I thought doing a loose floral layout was probably in my best interest. This is the fifth watercolored panel that you see on the card. The first four, I had to throw them out because of one reason or another. I stamped the Kind Soul stamp set using Versamark Watermark ink pad onto some 300 gsm cold pressed watercolor paper and heat embossing using White Embossing powder.
I watercolored the flowers using my Mijello Mission Gold watercolors. I took a top folding A2 sized card base and adhered a dry embossed kraft cardstock with patterned paper at the bottom with some natural twine. I fussy cut the flowers out and placed them toward the lower portion of the card. The sentiment is from Beautiful Bouquets – Ranunculus stamp set, stamped onto some black cardstock using Versamark Watermark Ink Pad and heat embossed using White Heat Embossing Powder. I finished the card off with some color coordinating sequins.
That’s all for these two cards.
So now it’s YOUR turn. Happy Crafting!
You have until Wed 8 a.m. Ohio time, 1 p.m. UK time and 2 p.m. CET to join in.
