Cute Sorry – Ombre Stencilled Background

Hi friends! Thank  you so much for stopping by this blog post. Sometimes you need a sorry card in your stash. At times like these, it helps to make a cute card which comes to the rescue. I started by stamping and coloring the dog on a copic friendly card base from the Pawesome Cats and Dogs stamp set using my copic markers and did some fussy cutting afterwards.

For the background, I did an ombre ink blending using Antique Linen and Walnut Stain Distress Oxide Inks on Bristol Smooth cardstock and die cut it using the Wonky Rectangles die. The sentiment is from the Playful Messages, stamped on Schoolhouse Red and Black Cardstock and heat embossed in white. I die cut the sentiment using the Stitched Tag Corner Rectangle Stax dies from MFT Stamps.

I layered the panel with a slightly bigger sized Schoolhouse Red cardstock and added some Natural Twine alone with it. I foam mounted all the elements on the ink blended card panel, adding an oval die cut piece of vellum behind the pup to make it pop.

I adhered all the elements on an A2 sized top folding white card base.

That finished off my card. I hope you liked this card.

Have a wonderful day!
