Sorta Sorry – Ombré Stencilled Background

Hi crafty friends! Thank you so much for taking the time out to stop by and read this blog post. If I can be honest here, this card made in the spur of a moment, and I made it for my husband. Sometimes you just have to! 😛 Don’t ask me, why! If you are married and a mom to a toddler, you will know why! 😀

So, I wanted to use the paws backgrounds stencil for the longest time and I started by taking a piece of Neenah Solar White Classic Crest 110 lb cardstock and trimmed it down to A2 size and stenciled the paws using Antique Linen Distress Ink, heavy hand at the bottom and reducing the pressure as I went to the top. I trimmed the panel using Wonky Rectangles die.

I used the Dog from the You Are Pawesome stamp set, and stamped it onto a piece of copic friendly cardstock and colored it in using my copic markers. On a piece of Schoolhouse Red cardstock, I stamped the sentiment which is from the Playful Messages set using Versamark Watermark Ink Pad and heat embossed it using White Embossing Powder. Also, took another piece of black cardstock and stamped another sentiment from the same set and heat embossed it again using white embossing powder.

I took an A2 sized top folding card base and added a panel of Schoolhouse Red cardstock which was slightly bigger than the stencilled and trimmed panel and added the die cut panel on top, with a natural twine running in the middle portion. I die cut a piece of vellum using an oval die and stuck the critter on top of it using foam tap. I added the sentiments below it.

That’s all for this card. Honestly, it was a very quick card!

Have a great day!
