Hi Everyone! I am so excited and honored to be a part of Wow Embossing Powder Design Team. It is a great feeling because companies and products that you believe in, when they believe right back at you, you feel a sense of accomplishment. Your work holds meaning! I have a variety of colors in WOW, and even for the gold, they have so many textures and colors it is amazing because I get the options and vary my embossing powder choices according to the projects I am working on.
So, for the month of August, the theme is Rainbow. I used the newest products from Simon Says Stamp Friendly Frolic release and combined with the WOW Metallic Gold Sparkle Embossing Powder and Distress Oxide Ink Blending, and the results I got were amazing.
I took a panel of Bristol Smooth Cardstock and trimmed it down to A2 size. For the ink blending, I started from one end, and blended the inks. I used Wilted Violet, Faded Jeans, Broken China, Cracked Pistachio, Fossilised Amber, Spiced Marmalade, Picked Raspberry and Fired Bricks in anti clockwise order to get my rainbow.
For the front panel, I trimmed a piece of Neenah Solar White Classic Crest 110 lb cardstock to A2 size and marked middle points on all four sides. Then on the top and bottom I marked two points, for the top, the point that was 1/4th of the entire width, from the left and for the bottom, the point that was 3/4th of the entire width from the left. The most amazing part of the Folk Dance die is it doesn’t cut on the edges. So, you have the option of aligning it as per your convenience. So, I aligned the die on mid points on the lengthwise side and on the 1/4th and 3/4th points on the width wise side and did some die cutting. In the centre, I was left with a tilted rectangle. Using rectangles stax dies I cut another panel of Neenah Solar White Classic Crest cardstock and stuck it on top using foam tape.
For the die cut words, I die cut Happy Birthday four times and stacked them all up. I covered it up with Versamark Watermark Ink Pad and dipped it in WOW Metallic Gold Sparkle Embossing Powder and heat embossed it using my heat gun.
I took a top folding A2 size card base, attached the ink blended panel and then stuck the die cut panel using foam tape. I glued Happy Birthday on top. To embellish, I used some rainbow jewels.
That’s all for this card. I hope you liked the card I made!
Have a great day!
