Such an honor and huge amounts of gratitude to the entire team of Simon for this wonderful opportunity. For my blog party, I am setting a holiday mood for you all. September is a good time to get started on Holiday Season cards because before you know it, it will be December. I made two similar style one layer watercolored cards. I used the Festive Trees Stamp Set from this release.
To start, I took two panels of cold pressed Arches Watercolor paper and trimmed them down to 4.25 inches by 5.5 inches masked off the edges using some masking tape. For one panel I stamped the hearts christmas tree using Versafine Onyx Black ink and heat embossed using clear embossing powder. I used Molotow pen and put down small dots so that they look like falling snow. I watercolored the hearts and background using my Mijello Mission Gold watercolors.
For the second panel, I stamped the triangular christmas tree in the same manner and watercolored the background red with snowflakes stamped in Versamark Watermark ink and heat embossed using White Embossing Powder.
I stamped the sentiments on a piece of black cardstock and heat embossed using Silver and Gold Embossing Powder. I trimmed them down and added pieces of gold and silver glitter cardstock to give it some definition. I die cut two tiny tags using Fog cardstock and stamped the word love and peace using Versamark Watermark Ink and heat embossed using White Embossing Powder.
I attached the tags using some natural twine and trimmed the watercolored panels to 4 inches by 5.25 inches and attached them onto A2 sized top folding card bases made from Neenah Desert Storm 100 lb cardstock.
I hope you liked the cards I made!
Have a lovely day!
