wed-newchallenge-header

Hello Friends! Hope everyone is having a great day!

Please join me in this week’s challenge at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge .

This week the challenge is

Pop It Up

We are showcasing Lawn Fawn this week. You don’t have to use them to join in but if you have some we would love to see them used.

As always, Simon Says Stamp will be giving away a $50 gift Vouches for the Simon Says Stamp Store to one randomly selected winner!

Here is my card for the inspiration.

It is a Day and Night card. Lawn Fawn has so so many options for you to make an interactive card but I really wanted to think out of the box here. So I came up with this idea. I started by stamping all the images from the Village Shops stamp set on a piece of copic friendly cardstock using Inkon 3 Hybrid ink and colored them in using my copic markers. I fussy cut the images out using coordinating die cuts.

I took two panels of Bristol smooth cardstock and one on ink blended Tumbled Glass on the top and Mowed Lawn on the bottom for the day. I used Radiating Rays stencil for some rays. For the night sky, I die cut a circling using masking paper and placed it on top right for the moon. I used Blueprint Sketch and Evergreen Bough with hints of Black Soot Distress ink. I stamped the constellations using Versamark Watermark Ink pad and heat embossed using White Embossing Powder. On the moon, I smudges some White Pigment Ink.

I cut both panels into half. I cut two 4.25 inch long and 0.75 inch wide strips of copic friendly cardstock and colored it with cool gray copic markers and used a yellow Polychromos to make a road.

For the assembly, I took a 4.25 inch by 5.5 inch panel and two 4.25 inch by 6 inch panels. The longer ones, I scored half an inch on the longer side so that they become 4.25 inch by 5.5 inch and scored them midway so that I can bend them and get a flap, sort of. I attached them on the A2 sized panel and arranged it so that I get front open double z-fold card. I adhered all the elements using tape runner and foam tape.

Thats all for this card. I used some clear sequins on the top for some interest. When you open it, you can the night scene and when you close it, it is day light!

So now it’s YOUR turn. Happy Crafting!
