Hi everyone! I hope your day is going really well. Simon Says Stamp’s October 2018 Fun and Festive release is live and it is so so fabulous. To celebrate the release, I spent some time with the Jack Russell Picture Book die and made a Christmas themed card.
I am a total dog person. I have a beagle named Casper at home so this card is home to me. I started off by making Buffalo Plaid by taking a piece of lipstick red cardstock and ink blended Black Soot Distress ink keeping the stripes half a centimeter wide and a half a centimeter gap in between. I also used embossing pen for the gold stripes. I trimmed the panel using Wonky Rectangles die.
I die cut the Jack Rusell on a copic friendly cardstock and colored the cutie away using my copic markers. I took another piece of Bristol smooth cardstock and ink blended Tumbled Glass, Faded Jeans and Black Soot Distress Oxides and stamped some snowflakes, from the Happy Christmas stamp set, using Versamark Watermark Ink and splattered some white gouache on it. I stamped the sentiment directly onto it, which is from the Critter Sweaters, using Versafine Onyx Black Ink.
I trimmed the ink blended panel to be around 3 inches by 2.5 inches and foam mounted it on the Plaid Panel and adhered the Jack Russell on the top. I placed it the entire panel on an A2 sized top folding card base made from Neenah Solar White Classic Crest 110 lb cardstock.
That’s all for this card. So, what products caught your eye from this festive and fabulous release?
Have a wonderful day and thank you so much for stopping by!
