Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge – Anything But A Card – MFT Stamps – Theme Birthday Invitation

Hello Friends! Hope everyone is having a great day!

Please join me in this week’s challenge at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge .

This week the challenge is

Anything But A Card

We are showcasing MFT Stamps products this week. You don’t have to use them to join in but if you have some we would love to see them used.

As always, Simon Says Stamp will be giving away a $50 gift Voucher for the Simon Says Stamp Store to one randomly selected winner!

Here is my project.

I have always wanted to use stamp sets outside the traditional domain. My daughter is turning 3 soon so I thought I’d design a birthday invite and this challenge was a perfect opportunity for it. I started by taking a 4.25 inch by 11 inch card panel made from Neenah Solar White Classic Crest 110 lb cardstock. I scored it at 2.75 inches from both ends to get a gatefold card. On the front panel and inner panel, I stuck strips of red and white cardstock, each about half  a centimeter wide so that it looks like a circus tent. I added a yellow fringed scalloped border on the top.

I stamped the images from the The Greatest Show stamp set onto a piece of copic friendly cardstock and colored them in using my copic markers. I die cut a tag frame from Neenah Desert Storm 100 lb cardstock and stamped the sentiment which is from the ‘From The Heart’ stamp set using Versamark Watermark ink pad and heat embossed in white. I die cut the word Invited from Yellow cardstock and fun foam and stuck it using liquid adhesive. I punched two holes on the front panel and made a twine bow.

On the inner panel, I die cut the alphabets using the same yellow cardstock and Stitched Alphabet dies and number 3 from Stitched Numbers die. I stamped the word turns using Versafine Onyx Black Ink and MFT Mini Well Connected Alphabets and Numbers Clear Stamp.

I die cut the images using co-ordinating dies and attached the seal and the tent using a tape runner on the inside panel and foam mounted the rest of the images on the front panel.

That is all for this themed birthday invitation! I always wanted to take a pic of my images once I colored them all in, so these are just some additional photos I am posting.

I find these critters so fun and cute. Also, the primary colors look so beautiful together.

That is all from my side! I hope you enjoyed this birthday project.

So now it’s YOUR turn. Happy Crafting!

You have until Wed 8 a.m. Ohio time, 1 p.m. UK time and 2 p.m. CET to join in.
