Hi everyone! I am so excited and honored to be a part of day one of Fun and Festive release Blog Hop by Simon Says Stamp. I am in love with the entire product release. Such fun and fabulous products with such versatility! I had the opportunity to use Mod Trees Background stamp, Christmas tree stitching and Critter Sweaters on my projects. I made three cards for this blog hop.
Simon Says Stamp has an exclusive gallery for this release where, every time you use their products from this release, you can upload your projects and the gallery also serves as a great source of inspiration. Use this link to access the gallery.

The first two cards are same concept but two different colors and the third card involves stitching.
For the first set of two cards, I started by stamping the sweater stripes on a piece of copic friendly cardstock in colors that went well together using Simon Says Stamp dye inks. I used Maliblue, Schoolhouse Red, Goldenlocks, Teal, Green Leaf and Soft Navy for the first one and Magnolia, Hydrangea, Soft Navy, Teal, Smoke and Audrey Blue for the second one.
I trimmed the panel down using Simon Says Stamp’s Stitched Rectangles dies. I die cut semi circles on top of each. I created slider channels and die cut a collar using nesting circles die and attached a piece of copic friendly cardstock and stamped the sentiment onto it, using Schoolhouse Red ink and Magnolia Ink. I drew lines with a white gel pen on the collars to make them look more real.
For the background, I took woodgrain cardstock and stamped the modern trees using Versamark Watermark Ink Pad and heat embossed in clear embossing powder. I trimmed the panels to be 5 inches by 3.75 inches and attached them on top of A2 sized top folding card base made from Neenah Solar White Classic Crest 110 lb cardstock.
I mounted the sliders on the background stamped panels. Before sticking the slider channels onto the base panel, I added thin strips of vellum with gold heat embossed sentiment onto them. Warm Winter Wishes goes so nicely with sweaters as sweaters keep you warm. That’s all for these two cards.
This stamp set is so much fun! It offers so much versatility in its use and you can get so creative with it. I can’t wait to hop around and see other inspirations using this stamp set.
For my third card, I took a panel of black cardstock, sized 5.5 inches by 4.5 inches and stamped the modern trees background stamp using Versamark Watermark Ink pad and heat embossed using Ultra Fine gold embossing powder from Simon Says Stamp. I took a piece of green leaf cardstock and ink blended beanstalk green dye ink for the festive colors.
I die cut it using scalloped oval dies and a piece of white cardstock using nesting oval dies. I dry embossed the Holiday Tree Medallion Stencil onto the white oval piece after running it in my die cutting machine with the Christmas Tree Stitching die. That way I did my stitching on a patterned piece of paper.
I took a 10 inches by 6 inches piece of cardstock made from Neenah Solar White Classic Crest 110 lb cardstock and scored it mid way. I foam mounted the black heat embossed panel and added the green panel and stitched tree panel, both using foam tape again.
I did add some natural twine midway so that I get some rustic look on my card. I die cut the word Joy four times using gold glitter paper and shadow using vellum. I stuck everything together using liquid glue.
That’s all for the three cards from me. I hope you enjoyed reading about them.
