Hello Friends! Hope everyone is having a great day!
Please join me in this week’s challenge at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge . This week the challenge is
We are showcasing Hero Arts products this week. You don’t have to use them to join in but if you have some we would love to see them used.
Here is my card for the inspiration.
I did some no line watercoloring yet again! Are you getting bored with just one style of card making from me? I don’t know, but I have a feeling it is going to be officially ‘Watercolor January’ for me. Something about flowers that I can’t seem to get enough of. So, for this card, I took an A2 sized panel of Arches cold pressed watercolor paper and stamped the beautiful Magnolias from Hero Arts (after a bit of masking and placing!).
Using my Daniel Smith watercolors I colored the flowers. The flowers are inherently white in color so I just did some shadow work. First time for me but a lot fun and learning along the way. I love how creating a dark background helps the flowers pop.
For the sentiment I stamped Happy Birthday from Birthday Numbers stamp set on a strip of black cardstock and gold heat embossed it. I layered it on a gold heat embossed strip and foam mounted it on the watercolored panel.
I adhered all the elements on an A2 sized top folding kraft cardstock. I finished it off with some iridescent sequins.
That’s all for this card. I hope you liked the card I made.
So now it’s YOUR turn. Happy Crafting!
You have until Wed 8 a.m. Ohio time, 1 p.m. UK time and 2 p.m. CET to join in.
