For my card, I wanted to do a pastel summer sunset sky. And because I am in NYC at the moment, I wanted to incorporate the gorgeous skyline of this city. So, I used the very cute Plane and Simple stamp set and stamped the plane and the banner using Antique Linen Distress Ink on a watercolored cardstock panel. Using some masking fluid, I masked the images and created a soft pastel sky and some high rise building using my Daniel Smith watercolors.
Once the panel was dry I removed the masking fluid and colored the airplane and banner in using the same watercolors. I stamped the sentiment using Versafine Onyx Black ink. Using the Rounded Corner Rectangle dies, I die cut the watercolored panel and foam mounted it on an A2 sized top folding kraft card base.
So now it’s YOUR turn. Happy Crafting!
You have until Wed 8 a.m. Ohio time, 1 p.m. UK time and 2 p.m. CET to join in.
